We collect information that you provide directly to us, including:

  • Salon or shop information (for business accounts)

When you use our services, we may automatically collect:

We use the information we collect to:

  • Connect stylists with salon opportunities

How We Share Your Information

We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:

  • With Other Users: Profile information (excluding phone numbers) is visible to potential employers or stylists
  • Service Providers: We work with trusted third parties who help us operate our platform (e.g., Twilio for SMS delivery, but they cannot use your data for their own purposes)
  • Business Transfers: In connection with mergers, acquisitions, or asset sales
  • Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights
  • With Your Consent: When you explicitly agree to share information

SMS Communications & Mobile Privacy

🔒 Your Mobile Privacy is Protected

We DO NOT share, sell, rent, or trade your mobile phone number with third parties for their marketing or promotional purposes.Your phone number is used exclusively for Stylist Connect account security and will never be provided to affiliates, partners, or other companies for marketing.

Collection and Use of Mobile Phone Numbers

We collect your mobile phone number solely for the following purposes:

  • Account verification and security (one-time passcodes)
  • Password reset verification codes
  • Two-factor authentication for login security
  • Critical account security alerts

Consent for SMS Messages

When you provide your mobile phone number to Stylist Connect, you explicitly consent to receive transactional text messages for account security purposes only. You will see clear consent language before providing your phone number, such as: "By providing your phone number, you consent to receive SMS verification codes for account security."

Message Frequency and Charges

Message frequency varies based on your account activity (typically 0-5 messages per month). Standard message and data rates may apply according to your mobile plan. Stylist Connect does not charge for SMS messages, but your carrier may apply standard rates.

Opt-Out Instructions

You can opt-out of SMS communications at any time by:

  • Replying STOP to any SMS message from us
  • Updating your preferences in account settings
  • Contacting support at admin@stylistconnectapp.com

No Third-Party Marketing

Important: We will NEVER provide your mobile phone number to third parties, affiliates, or partners for their marketing or promotional purposes. Your phone number is strictly used for Stylist Connect platform security and account management. We do not participate in mobile number sharing programs or sell phone number lists.

Sign in with Apple

Stylist Connect supports Sign in with Apple. When you choose this option:

  • We receive a stable Apple-issued user identifier and, on your first sign-in only, the name and email address you choose to share. We store these to identify your account on subsequent sign-ins.
  • If you select Apple's Hide My Email option, we receive a private relay address (@privaterelay.appleid.com). We send all email to that relay and Apple forwards it to your real address — we never see or store your real email.
  • When you delete your Stylist Connect account, our server calls Apple's official token revocation endpoint to break the link between your Apple ID and Stylist Connect. After deletion, Stylist Connect will no longer appear in your Settings → Apple ID → Sign in with Apple → Apps Using Your Apple ID list.

We comply with Apple App Store Review Guideline 5.1.1(v), which requires apps that support account creation to also support in-app account deletion and, for Sign in with Apple users, to revoke Apple-issued tokens on deletion.

Third-Party Service Providers

We use the following third-party services to operate Stylist Connect. Each is bound by a data-processing agreement that limits their use of your data to providing the service to us.

Push Notifications

With your permission, we send push notifications about new job postings, application updates, and direct messages. Notifications are delivered through Apple Push Notification service (APNs) on iOS and Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) on Android. We store a device-specific push token so we can address notifications to your device; that token is deleted when you sign out, uninstall the app, or delete your account.

You can disable push notifications at any time through your device's system settings (Settings → Notifications → Stylist Connect) or from Settings → Notification Preferences inside the app. Disabling them does not affect SMS verification codes, which are sent over a separate channel.

Account Deletion and Data Retention

You can delete your account at any time from inside the app at Settings → Delete Account, or by visiting our account deletion page for a step-by-step guide.

What happens when you delete your account

Within the same request we permanently delete:

  • Your profile (stylist or shop), photos, resume, portfolio, and bio
  • Your saved jobs, bookmarks, and skills
  • Your authentication tokens, password reset tokens, and verification codes
  • Your registered devices and push notification tokens
  • Your notification preferences
  • Your job experience history

We anonymize the remaining account record (replacing your email and name with placeholder values, clearing all OAuth identifiers, and marking the account inactive) so it can no longer be signed into.

Limited retained data

A small set of records is retained for legal, financial, and fraud-prevention obligations:

  • Payment transactions — required by tax law and for handling potential chargebacks. These records reference an anonymized user identifier and contain no usable personal information about you.
  • System audit logs — minimal entries (e.g., "account deleted") retained for security forensics. They contain no profile content.

If you signed in with Apple, our server calls Apple's token revocation endpoint during deletion. If you signed in with Google, your Google account remains under your control — you can manage Stylist Connect's access from your Google Account settings.

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Privacy Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: Request a copy of your personal data
  • Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your account and data
  • Opt-Out: Unsubscribe from marketing communications
  • Data Portability: Receive your data in a portable format
